Network Plus-ins (NPIs)

Network Plug-ins define the policy (social protocol) for how a network operates.  For example, what information about the network is shared with whom.  Some Network Plug-ins (NPIs) define the protocols for a single group, such as an alumni association.  Others, define a network type of which there can be many instances (Buddy Lists.)  Many NPIs (such as an Outlook or a LinkedIn NPI) are designed to integrate with other systems.  We call these Integration NPIs. Each NPI is  implemented as a separate Eclipse 3.0 compatible plug-in/bundle.

We have identified a number of NPIs which need to be built. As we build more and more NPIs, we are optimizing the process for NPI creation. We are also interested in the suggestions from the SocialPhysics community for additional NPIs to consider.
